Stop Leaving Food on the Wrong Store Shelves

I try to see the good in people, but sometimes they just tick me off. Abandoning food at random places in a supermarket is just one of those little things that gets on my nerves.

If you pick up something and then decide you don’t want it, go put it back! It really bugs me when I see a loaf of bread stuffed into a space in the cereal aisle, or a tube of toothpaste tossed into a produce bin. The worst is when someone takes a bakery of frozen item and just leaves it somewhere randomly in the store. That item will surely go bad, and that’s a waste.

Is it really so much to ask that you go back to the aisle where the item came from and put it back in it’s place? Are people really so lazy that they can’t walk back to the aisle and put something away? You know what, if you are that lazy, just keep it in your cart and hand it to the cashier when you check out and tell them you changed your mind. An employee will put it back for you! It doesn’t get much easier than that.

It also bugs me when people go pawing through things on the shelves and mix up the products. I go looking for what the label says should be there, but end up grabbing something else that doesn’t belong there. When I was still going to WalMart I always had to stop and read everything before putting it in the cart because people so often messed up the arrangement on the shelves and I’d ended up bringing the wrong thing home.

It’s really not that hard to show some respect when you’re in a store. Don’t mix up products, don’t manhandle things when you don’t need to, and put things back if you change your mind. It’s all pretty simple.
